Kitesurfing in Petrol Beach, Sardinia
La Maddalena Spiaggia has became famous, in the recent past, as perfect kite spot for kitesurfing Sardinia with the thermal wind.
In fact in Petrol Beach, as the kitesurfers call La Maddalena Spiaggia, during the warm and sunny days of Spring, Summer and Autumn, the wind almost always blows.
Even if the South-East wind blows well, the best wind in Petrol Beach is he thermal wind that blows side shore with an intensity between 10 and 20 knots. Mistral is off-shore and gusty.
Note that the name Petrol Beach should not be misleading: even if located in the middle between two oil&gas areas, La Maddalena Spiaggia has clean beach and clear blue sea.
Close to Petrol Beach there are other kitesurifng beaches (e.g., Frutti d’Oro and Giorgino Kite Beach) even better than Petrol Beach because less crowded.
In the area of La Maddalena and Giorgino, with the proper wind and weather conditions, KiteGeneration is offering kite lessons and services.
